The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding and supports to Australians under the age of 65 who are living with a permanent and significant disability, assisting them to live as independently as possible. LAAS is a registered NDIS services provider that tailors our services to its clients, offering maximum choice and control.
In order to be eligible, people with disabilities must meet the following requirements:
To find out if you’re eligible to receive funding, please visit the NDIS website and complete the NDIS Access Checklist https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible or contact the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) directly on 1800 800 110.
The NDIS is available throughout Australia to individuals with a permanent disability. Within South Australia, there are 29,538 individuals who benefit from the NDIS and 14,713 receiving support for the first time.
The NDIA determines individual eligibility for the NDIS. The NDIA is the national agency responsible for running the NDIS. Some people, including people living in supported accommodation, accessing a community access service such as a day program, accessing a specialist disability case management service or accessing a respite service, will go through a simplified eligibility process, based on the supports they currently receive.
If you’re an existing NDIS participant, transitioning to the NDIS or have just received your new plan, contact us today. We will work closely with you to achieve your goals and connect you with the right supports, assisting you to live independently. To browse our NDIS services, please follow the link here.
