LAAS Day Options provides activities for people with disabilities living in the Riverland. The program promotes community integration through educational, recreational and pre-vocational learning opportunities. Activities are based on principles that acknowledge individual choices and the needs of individual clients. We pride ourselves on providing learning opportunities that are not only worthwhile but can also be applied by participants in their everyday lives.
LAAS has been providing day option services to clients since 1986 that encourage strengthening skills in education, recreation, independent living, social integration and community access.
We charge as per the NDIS price guide for community participation and centre-based community participation (day options).
Whole-centre activities are planned once per month, and are often based on a special occasion such as International Day of People with Disability, and football grand final day, or are based on experiencing another culture.
Day Options provides friendship and a strong connection to the community. Participants are supported to engage and participate in local events, including the Riverland Field Days, Barmera Country Music Festival and local musicals. Day Options supports participants to develop networks within their community through involvement in local community groups.
Clients are supported by dedicated, qualified support workers who are committed, friendly and experienced in providing services to people with disabilities. Employees are appropriately trained to suit the needs of clients and undertake regular training to ensure they provide the best quality of support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and at Day Options.
