Philosophy & Objectives

We further believe in the principles of normalisation and the least restrictive alternative as philosophies for service delivery.

Due to this belief, we value the promotion of community integration, use of generic services and community living for persons with intellectual disability.

Further, we uphold the rights of persons with an intellectual disability through the use of instrumental and citizen advocacy.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To provide long term accommodation and independent living skills and/or behavioural change learning programmes for up to 10 persons
  2. To provide a co-ordinated community based Day Options Services integrating education, pre-vocation and recreation streams for persons living within the residences administered by the service and individuals residing elsewhere as resources permit.
  3. To provide independent living skills and/or behavioural change learning programmes for persons not living within the residences administered by the service, on a contractual, time-limited, skill specific basis
